Participate in the Quality Innovation Award and gain valuable feedback on your innovation
Excellence Finland will host the 17th National Quality Innovation Award event. The competition provides companies, organisations and public administration organisations the opportunity for validation and professional feedback on their innovations. It can also offer developer teams support for launching their innovations on the market or promoting them inside their organisations.
The Quality Innovation Award highlights innovations that are evaluated based on novelty value, usability, learning, customer orientation, and profitability. Organisations and teams can compete in five categories: sustainability, pioneers of health and wellness, public administration, education, and corporate innovations.
The competition is open for applications until 1 September 2024. The competition website provides instructions for participation (in Finnish).Open link in a new tab
The competition will culminate in a gala dinner on 21 November 2024, where the greatest innovations of the year will be celebrated and awarded. The awards are given out in co-operation with the Finnish Fair Foundation.
PRH a longstanding partner of the competition
Innovations must be appropriately protected to ensure control over them and the economic benefit obtained from them. The Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) examines and grants patents and utility models and registers trademarks for products and services and design protection for design. The PRH has been a partner of the Quality Innovation Award for several years and has offered the competitors its expertise.
The competition jury has representatives with a wide range of skills. The jury is assembled yearly and consists of a chairperson, secretary, and several representatives of various industries and sectors. This ensures that every innovation gets a well-informed and diverse evaluation. Antti Riivari, Director General of the PRH, chairs the competition jury.
